NATIONAL PRESIDENT NAOWA CHARGES MEMBERS TO BE AGENTS OF POSITIVE CHANGE ………. As she Declares Open A 3 Day Entrepreneurship Training.

The National President Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya has charged NAOWA members to be agents of positive change. She gave the charge today when she declared open a 3 Day Train the Trainer Entrepreneurship programmme at the NAOWA Events Centre, Mambilla Barracks Abuja.

In her remarks, the National President applauded her predecessor the immediate Past National President of NAOWA Mrs Fati Attahiru who initiated and organized the training. She said this was in line with her vision which is ‘’Sustaining Legacies and Upholding the Tenets of Unity and Service’’. Mrs Yahaya further called for a minute silence for the repose of the soul of the Late Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt Gen I Attahiru and prayed God to grant him eternal rest.

Emphasizing on the significance of training, Mrs Salamatu said that efficient training is an important activity and the bedrock of any successful organization. As such, NAOWA places high premium on training of its members, youths, widows and the less privileged through skill acquisition and entrepreneurship training.

Mrs Yahaya further enjoined participants to take advantage of the packages for the training among which are Agro Processing, Tie and Dye, Production of Reusable Pads and Kampala making. She also charged them not to forget that the training was a golden opportunity and should be maximized in order to ensure they pass across the knowledge acquired to their fellow members in their various formations and units, adding that further actions will be monitored and assessed.

Speaking on behalf of the Facilitators, Mrs Shade Adeoye appreciated the National President for the opportunity given to them to train NAOWA Members from all Divisions and other Formations on entrepreneurship.

Highlight of the event was a photograph session and inspection of showcased attires and equipment by the National President and wives of senior officers.
