NAOWA Health Care Delivery System in action

As part of its efforts to foster healthy living in the barracks and the surrounding communities, NAOWA organized regular environmental sanitation within the barracks and surrounding communities. Also, it has on a number of occasions distributed treated mosquito nets and carries out periodic vaccination programmes in the villages neighboring the barracks across the country. Visits were also conducted to public health centres to donate medical equipment such as, drugs, treated mosquito nets and other relief materials and sanitary items to patients.


This is aimed at promoting sanitary environment in the hospitals and to support government effort towards disease control. NAOWA is also making concerted effort to partner with local community leaders in the North Eastern Nigeria to extend quality health services beyond the formal healthcare system. NAOWA also carry out a periodic enlightenment campaign on hand washing, vaccination programme, environmental sanitation to improve lives through the prevention and treatment of diseases.
