An Atlanta, Georgia US based Non – governmental organisation, AD King Foundation has pledged to support the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA) in in equipping the NAOWA Specialist Hospital with modern medical equipment. This was revealed when a team of delegation led by Dr Naomi Barbara King visited the site of the on-going construction of the NAOWA specialist hospital Abuja.
Amazed by the giant project and the level reached, the AD King Foundation pledged to support the NAOWA in its bid to providing affordable quality health care facilities for the masses. Dr Barbara revealed that a healthy society is a wealthy society.
Earlier leading the delegates to the site, the National President, Nigerian Army officers Wives Association, Mrs Umma-Kalsum Tukur Burati revealed that the project was conceived out of the deep rooted concerns of the association in delivering accessible and affordable healthcare services to the barracks community and its environs.
Mrs Buratai also revealed that the achievement of NAOWA was realized from donations and supports from non- governmental organisations and individual donors. “We would not have recorded tremendous achievements without support from organisations and individuals “ she said.
